Overview

"The Music Boyz" is a professional DJ Service and wedding reception specialist.  We have been providing music for weddings
and other events for over 1
7 years.  We stress customer service and complete satisfaction, while making the entire experience
stress-free and enjoyable for you.

The DJ Industry has changed and evolved since we started many years ago.  Gone is the time where DJ's are just expected to just
show up and play music.  Todays DJ's should be expected to take on a more active role in the complete success of the event.
The Music Boyz continue to raise the bar for the DJ Industry by providing a service that is comprised of many different roles.

  • Writer: As with every radio or TV show, each event is carefully written and produced ahead of time.  In a wedding or
private event, a Professional DJ takes on the same role to prep for the event based on information received from the client.
Proper planning and having a pre-written itinerary makes for a much smoother more elegant evening.

  • Event/Layout Planner:  Some venues are just not suitable for certain types of events.  An experienced and skilled DJ can assist in
laying out the room that would best suit your specific event while not compromising the quality of the entertainment.  From proper
positioning and set-up of the dance floor to advise on seating arrangements for guests.

  • Production Manager:  Once the event is underway, it has to be managed.  Every event is constantly changing, i.e. dinner being
delayed or sudden changes in the itinerary.  A skilled experienced DJ will help make the event flow smoothly.

  • Master of Ceremonies:  One of the most important things that a skilled DJ does is to be able to speak in front of large groups of
people.  This one aspect alone is a skill all in itself.  Most people would rather go to the dentist than to speak in front of a large
group of people.  To be able to do this, and make it look easy, is only mastered by top professionals.

  • Party Motivator:  A true talent is to be able to motivate people.  A professional skilled DJ will be able to convey his or her energy,
talent, and charisma to his or her audience through their choice in music.

  • Event Coordinator:  Similar but very different to a production manager, an event coordinator will constantly be in contact with the
photographer, videographer and room captain to insure that all the details that have been pre-arranged are executed and that all the
parties involved are present.  To give you an example of this, can you imagine if the DJ announces that "it's time to cut the cake"
and the photographer or parents are not in the room at the time?  That event, in the client's eyes is now ruined.  And there is nothing
anyone can do to recoup from that mistake.

  • Event Analyst: Every event is different.  Different people, different musical tastes, different demographics.  The skilled DJ is able
to read his audience and play accordingly based on the energy at that given time.  Most importantly, he must be able to constantly
analyze the development of the event and make any changes in the programming on a moments notice.

  • Light Technician:  When applicable, the DJ also acts as a lighting technician.  Although most lights on the market today
automatically sync to the beat of the music, they also have capabilities to do very unique "light shows" which can be pre-
programmed based on the event.  A skilled experienced DJ will know what lights to use to set the mood for a more romantic feel
and what lights to use to create more energy in the room.

  • Sound Technician:  Every venue is different.  The quality of the music depends greatly on the size and layout of each room.  Using
only the highest quality sound equipment, paired with the knowledge of how to properly deal with echo's and other sound issues, a
prominent DJ will be able to adapt and diffuse audio abnormalities.

  • Troubleshooter:  It's inevitable.  Although very rare, a problem with a speaker or some piece of equipment can and may occur.
Most DJ's that have years of experience will be able to quickly identify the normal problems such as a loose connection and fix the
problem immediately.  In extreme circumstances, should any equipment fail, a Professional DJ will have backup equipment on hand.

  • Music Aficionado:  One of the most important factors of what we do is know music.  What to play and more importantly when to
play it.  Just because you have a large collection of music, doesn't mean you can be a successful DJ.  Only with years of
experience and a lot of skill will a DJ be able to completely control the atmosphere of a party through their music selection.  At a
typical wedding or event, only about sixty to eighty "Dance" songs are played.  The timing of these songs is crucial to keep an
upbeat and energetic atmosphere going throughout the entire event.  In addition to the "Dance" songs, we pay special attention to
dinner music selections.  This is the time to set the foundation for the rest of the event.   Dinner music should not be passed off as
unimportant, it is just as important as the music selected throughout the rest of the event.  It is also a time to sneak in songs of your
own personal tastes that may not be particularly good for dancing, but are personal favorites that you enjoy hearing.

  • Event Consultant:  Let's face it.  Planning any type of event can be stressful.  By utilizing  someone that is skilled at running a
party, could help greatly reduce the amount of stress involved which in turn will enable you to enjoy the experience.

  • Maitre'D:  A DJ that will be noticed as a true professional will help in getting people seated at their proper tables and be the person
to release tables for dinner in situations where for instance the dinner would be buffet style.  He will also make sure that the
champagne is on all the tables and that all the glasses on the head table are filled and ready to go for the toast.
